The Academy: From Business Research to BusinessSchool

Founded as a research organisation in 1998, the BritishBusinessAcademy added an international business school for managers and top executives in 2005. The Academy is certified by the European Economic Committee to engage in science (research activity) and education (Doctor of Business Administration programmes). Every doctoral programme is a unique course with its own license and certificate..

Transnational Format and International Cooperation

Academy courses are authored by an international team, including experts from more than 10 countries. The official languages of research and education at the Academy are English, German, French and Russian.

The Academy engages in applied research in various business fields on a daily basis. The Academy publishes reports on its research, supplying international corporations and investment funds with statistics, methodologies and projects.

The Academy functions as a closed corporate university supported by a number of international commercial organisations, placing orders for research and the training of specialists in the following fields:
  • Chief Executive Officer
  • Corporate Governance
  • Banking Law
  • Innovation Management
  • Advertising Technologies
  • Corporate Branding

Communications, Promotion, Reputation

Since its very foundation, the Academy has not been a public organisation; it does not organise and does not take part in advertising campaigns or events and does not publish information on the Internet. This non-public policy allows the Academy to maintain its neutrality and impeccable reputation while executing orders for industrial and corporate research from multiple customers at once.

Corporate Business Education: Nothing Superfluous

The Academy is not part of the UK system of national education; it does not have accreditation or bachelor, master or MBA programmes. The Academy’s history of success lies in its PhD programme in sociology and culture, whose licence expired in 2014.

Corporate Education: Doctor of Business Administration Programmes

The Academy operates a correspondence-study system that provides students with high-quality business education programmes in the remotest corners of the world. To study, all you need is a PC or a tablet – the rest will be done for you by our Information Office and servers in the UK.

Also, wherever you reside, the Academy will assign you a tutor who speaks the language of your region (English, French, German or Russian). The tutor will be your personal consultant for the period of your studies, assisting you in doing exam tasks under your course and consulting you in preparing and writing your graduation work. The means of communication include telephone, e-mail and visual communicators (Face Time, Skype, etc.).

Try Applying for Two Study Programmes at Once

Doctor of Business Administration programmes are now popular throughout the world. Therefore, if after completing the Application Form for the course of your choice you are told that the programme has no vacancies in the near future, don’t worry – the Academy will put you on the waiting list and alert you in advance of vacancy openings and the start date of your studies.

The Academy takes pride in the fact that in the ten-year history of its Education Department, it has not been able to organise the mass training of top managers; there are always programmes prospective students cannot join before first sitting on the waiting list for half a year, a year or even one-and-a-half years.

Grant Programmes of the European Economic Committee in your Region

The Academy provides no educational grants though 2014, so long as the educational grant programme of the European Economic Committee is in place (2008-2014). Grant recipients include representatives of commercial companies and industry from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine and the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2013, the EEC grant programme was closed for Russia. In 2014, the programme was reopened for Russia, but the quantity of grants was significantly reduced.

Grant Programmes of the Academy and the Opening of Information Offices in the CIS

To support grant programmes and pursue research in new scientific areas, the Academy will open a network of information offices in Russia, Ukraine, the Kyrgyz Republic and elsewhere in 2015. The Academy will keep grant programmes in the form to which our clients and customers from Eastern Europe are accustomed.  Please note the changes that have taken place with respect to financial policy; since mid-2014, tuition fees under grant programmes have experienced a slight increase, while general tuition fees under DBA programmes have decreased significantly.
